2021 SURCON Induction: Enugu Commissioner For Lands Present Certificates To The Inductees, Advise Them To Always Uphold The Ethics Of The Profession

The Enugu State Commissioner For Lands and Urban Development Dr. (Surv.) Victor Chukwuemeka Nnam, has admonished the new inductees to always uphold the ethics of the the profession at all time and also be great ambassadors of the prestigious professional organisation.

He stated this at the 2021 induction ceremony of the new surveyors held on 11th March at Abuja.

The commissioner who was one of the special guests, in his presentation in the area of motivation to the new inductees advised them to be smart in other to outsmart the people they will meet in the field who might use technology to do the works that are supposed to be done by surveyors.
He told the new surveyors that the profession does not end in getting registered as a professional surveyor but that they should keep building themselves and grow in the profession.

The commissioner also advised them to use the experience they have garnered from the senior surveyors to improve and develop themselves. He told the new inductees to be well prepared and equipped because it is competitive in the field. He also advised them to be politically aware of their environment.

The highpoint of the event was the presentation of certificates by the commissioner as a special guest to some of the over 300 new surveyors.

It will be recalled that the Honourable Commissioner for lands Enugu State, Dr (Surv.) Victor Chukwuemeka Nnam is a Doctor of Surveying and Geoinformatics by profession with over 10 years post registration experience in practice. He has also before his appointment as the commissioner for lands and urban development been a lecturer in the department of Survey and Geoinformatics Enugu State University of Science and Technology.
