The founder Maurice Akueme Foundation MAF, Chief Maurice Emeka Akueme has reiterated his committement to complementing the efforts of the Enugu State Governor, Rt. Hon. Dr. ifeanyi Ugwuanyi in providing succor for the less privileged in the Society.
Chief Akueme stated this on Sunday during an interview with Daily Star Online News Enugu on the state of projects he embarked on, in some local government areas of Enugu West Senatorial zone.
Some of the projects which includes grading of some roads in Ukana community to link major cities in Udi local government area, commissioning of portable water project for the rural dwellers, restoration of a big power generating set at Udi General hospital amongst others, are part of his undying commitment to put smile on the faces of the people.
“When community development is effective, there is less crime, less disparity between citizens, better jobs available, a more talented workforce, and less overall issues that impact residents. Community development may not solve all challenges, but reduces problems and increases opportunities for growth”
“I believe that people should have access to good health facilities, wellbeing, justice and opportunities”
Recall that Chief Maurice Akueme, was on 2020 conferred on “Njikokamma 1” of Enugu State by the leadership of Ohaneze Ndigbo, an apex Igbo socio-cultural Organization for his numerous achievements and contributions to the wellbeing of the people.
He is a blessing to anyone who comes in contact with him through his foundation with which he has given scholarships to numerous students both in Enugu and other states, restores hope to the hopeless and revive the dream of the young people.
Maurice Emeka Akueme is a UK based accountant and an accomplished tax consultant.
Whenever his name is mentioned, hearty cheers are raised in response. He is an esteemed humanitarian and a silent achiver.
Akueme who is known for his philanthropic gesture has been promoting the welfare of the less priveleged especially the Youths and the vulnerable in the Society through this foundation.
