Bishop Chukwuma Calls For Peace In Enugu State, Advises The Youths To Withdraw To Their Houses

Following the recent civil disturbances in Enugu State which claimed lives, the Archbishop of the Enugu Province of the Anglican Communion and Bishop of Enugu Diocese Most Rev. Dr. E.O Chukwuma has passionately appealed to the Youths of the state to stop the vandalisation of public and private properties within the metropolis.

Dr. Emmanuel Chukwuma in a Statement made available to Daily Star Online News on Saturday stated that “we don’t want loss of lives anymore and so all youths Should withdraw to their various houses with immediate effect”.

“I, on behalf of the church leaders in Enugu State passionately appeal to the Youths of Enugu State to stop vandalisation of public and private properties”

He However warned that more Protests at this critical time may attract further loss of lives and appealed to the Youths to withdraw to their various houses with immediate effect.

“Moreover, the government of Enugu State is doing much to safeguard lives and properties and so we should not allow anybody to disturb the Peace that has long existed in Enugu State”.

“Therefore, we pray God to bless and protect everybody.

“Enugu State is a peaceful state and so wx should allow it to be” he concluded.
