Over 280 Nsukka women on Monday stormed the Nsukka Council Headquarters protesting against Hon. Patrick O. Asadu of House of Representatives and Senator Chukwuka Utazi representing Enugu North Senatorial Zone in the red chamber on the ground of poor representations.
According to a report, they are demostrating over poor performance of the two representatives in the National Assembly.
The women who carried placards with various inscriptions such as
“Sen. Utazi, stop Bible quotation and show us your achievements.”
“Pat Asadu stop using our children to achieve your selfish political interest. Enough is Enough”
“Pat Asadu show us your Achievements after 16 years at National Assembly” amongst other, called on the duo to honourably resign.
Recall that on 5th of September 2020, The Concerned Uzo-Uwani Youth Movement passed a VOTE OF NO CONFIDENCE on Sen. Chukwuka Utazi, Hon. Martins Okeh of the Federal House of Reps. and Hon. Okika of the Enugu State House of Assembly on the ground of poor representations.
As at the time of filling this report, efforts to get Sen. Utazi and Hon. Patrick Asadu over the phone, was fruitless.
