The Secretary of the All Progressives Congress in Enugu North Local Government, Comrade Sebastian Okafor (Bookastro) has faulted the suspension of the local government chairman of APC in Enugu East, Mr Micheal Onyeka.
In a statement released on Sunday, Comrade Sebastine said, that the suspension was uncalled for ; as the chairman acted in consultation of other stakeholders in the party.
” it is true that Mr Prince Onyeka removed 2 painters of rice from the palliatives ; which he dịdnot sideline but shared them to the local Government executives who has been flagrantly neglected by the party ;but, sanctioning him would have been the best.
The Secretary also called on the leadership of the party, to also investigate the distribution of the said palliative by other local government chairmen as well as the ward chairmen.
“I call on the leadership of the party, to also scrutinize how these palliatives were shared in other local government as well as the wards; as many of them:especially, the ward chairmen, confiscated theirs with impunity.
The said distribution of the palliative by the ward chairmen who wrote petition against Mr Prince Onyeka, should also be investigated as, they are also allegations that, they sidelined theirs.
He however, reiterated his support for the leadership of Barr Dr Ben Nwoye calling him “, the face and voice of the party”
“I want reiterate my unalloyed support for the leadership of the state chairman, Barr Dr Ben Nwoye as well as his working committee members, for their efforts so far in repositioning the party especially,in the unity, that exists in the party now.
