…Assures “fresh air” for his constituents if elected.

All things being equal, Ndi Isi-Uzo Constituency, Enugu State, will on 31st October 2020, elect a new representative for the state House of Assembly seat, to replace late Hon. Chijioke Ugwueze who died on June this year.
Major political parties’ stakeholders are on their feet crisscrossing the length and breadth of the state, aligning, re-aligning and oiling their political machines in readiness for the election.
Hon. Simon Ede on Saturday 5th September, Emerged YPP candidate for that election.
At the Party primary election held in Isi-Uzo LG, the State leader of the party Prince Ozioma Ani maintained that as Progressives, they are ever ready to ensure that their candidate wins the election.
He said that YPP is the only credible alternative, describing it as the most Progressive, youth oriented political platform, the newest and most beautiful bride of a party that have always chosen the best as its Flag Bearers.
In a remark, the State Chairman of YPP, Engr. Tony Udeani assured Ndi Isi-Uzo of the Party’s committment to enthroning excellence if elected.
He enjoyed all the constituents not to be swayed by the antics of the opposition parties, but advised them to come out enmass and vote for YPP.
In an interview, the state woman leader of the party, Hon. Ijeoma Eze and the state Youth leader, Mr. Kenneth Ibeh thanked the delegates for their unrelenting efforts in supporting the party.
Out of the votes cast, Hon. Simon Ede pulled a total of 90 against the 93 accredited voters to clinch the party’s ticket.
In his remarks, Ede, who earlier dumped APC for YPP, recounted his experiences and thanked Ndi Isi-Uzo who trooped out enmass and assured them of his resilience and undying commitment to represent them well if elected.
“After due consultation with my family, friends, associates, colleagues and political allies, I have decided to dump the All Progressives Congress, APC.
“We can not look the other way and allow Isi-Uzo Position become political inheritance instead of allowing the electorates the right to choose their representatives themselves as democracy predisposes”.
“My journey in APC was a journey full of experience but far from reaching my destination, hence my resolve to identify with the most Progressive party. The profile of its Presidential Candidate for the 2019 general election, Dr. Kingsley Moghalu speaks volume of what the party represents.
The Victory of Senator Ifeanyi Uba under the platform in 2019 election is an evidence that the party is on the part of progress.
Moreso, the National leadership under Bishop Amakiri, is the most trusted and reliable leadership, so is the Enugu State leadership under Engr. Tony Udeani.
It is out of this and my personal conviction that we can only make change in the society if we do things differently, for it is foolhardy to act the same way and expect a different result.
Of truth, my experience in the APC is a very hard and difficult one ridden with sabotage and betrayal by those I consider leaders of the party, though difficult as it were but the lessons are for the better and having the courage to move on, lies in my determination for a better tomorrow.
Beyond politics and party affiliation, friendship is more inviolable and we can build on that” he concluded.
